R TEAM is a group that I founded well over 15 years ago for real estate agents to network with each other from various offices within a specfic region. At one point in time, I had over four chapters...the group was almost a part time job! Overtime, R TEAMs participation began to dwindle and as much as I enjoyed our "regulars", it was time to close that chapter of our group.
Blogging has made it possible for R TEAM to rejuvinate in a form that may be even better than before. Yes, the hot breakfast at Marie Calendars were delish...however, with blogging, we can participate at any time or place we want to.
Here are my goals with the R TEAM blog:
- Help R TEAM agents get "blogging". I passionately believe that blogging will help your business. Blogging is to business what personal web sites were in the 90s.
- Feature topics of interest. R TEAM agents are welcome to post topics relative to our industries.
- Invite guest writers to post topics of interest.
Who knows where this will take us! I'm looking forward to your participation and any questions or input you may have.
UPDATE Februay 7, 2011: R TEAM Blog is still around... and I'll admit it has been pretty darn neglected. Part of this is due to the fact that I am a mortgage originator and not a social media "coach". My career comes first. The information that I share here about social media and technology are really just things I enjoy or have found useful in my business practice. I have made a deliberate decision to not be a "social media coach", consultant, expert...if I had a dollar for every person I've met in recent years who proclaims to be an expert at social media and who will make everything easy for real estate professionals, I'd be sipping a Mojito on my own private tropical island!
I am planning on dusting off this blog and using it to share more of what I've found useful in my business practice. Social media and blogging has created wonderful oppotunities and has connected me with clients I've really enjoyed working with. I hope that some of the information you find here helps you too!
I'm guessing this photo was around the mid 90's at CoCo's in Federal Way. Recognize anyone?
